The bowling team competed at state this week and they were looking to finish somewhere in the top. State team traveled to Bowladrome in Twin Falls and State singles had to travel to Snake River Bowling in Burley.
On Monday, February 13, teams were there ready to bowl as the team competition was about to start. Jerome showed up looking for a spot somewhere in the mix for the win but unfortunately the other teams were too much to handle. They would find themselves at the bottom of the 4A in both boys and girls.
On Tuesday, February 14, individuals from each team were ready to go as they were looking to outscore the other bowlers. On the boy’s side for Jerome, Skyelir Scarrow would be the top finisher for Jerome finishing in 32nd. He would end the day with a total of 530. Eddie Mackie finished 36th and had a day total of 518. To roll out the boy’s team Jason Black would finish 41st as he would end with 471.
Jerome would have one girl compete in individuals bowling, but Zanna Cromer would fall short of being in the mix as she would finish 33rd and end with a total of 455.
With the season behind them Zanna Cromer said, “We did decent but not as good as we would like to have. We had fun though-out the season and that’s all that matters.”
Bowling coach Ben Carlisle said, “If it would have been a golf tournament Jerome would have won, both boys and girls.
