Though the weather says otherwise, it’s time for Spring sports. The boys Track and Field team spent their first couple of practices indoors due to weather restraints. With 11 returning Seniors and 3 new Seniors the boys team is looking at some experience.
First year head coach Mark Van Orden has high hopes for this year’s team as he looks toward his “strong core group of seniors” who he says “provide a fun and engaging leadership for younger athletes.”
Van Orden also expresses his excitement for almost a full return of sprint relay runners in Seniors Clay Miller, Joey Lenker, Branden Pilkenton and Byron Bailey. Anchoring down the hurdles for the boys will be Senior Cristian Castro and as for distance Senior Nathan Nordquist and Sophomore Koby Driscoll are bound to be top competitors.
The Tigers fist meet is Thursday March 16 at Canyon Ridge High School.
