Over the course of dance and cheer districts, your very own Jerome Tigers finished as district champions. Both teams fought hard all year long to get to the spot they are at now. Cheer and dance practiced for approximately ten months out of the year with the same team. This allows both team to grow and bond over this extended period of time.
The cheer team placed first in Show and Sideline and second in their Pom Routine. These placements put them first in the district and allows them to take all three routines to the state competition. It was their biggest accomplishment of the year.
This cheer team likes to have a lot of fun with each other and just be each other’s best friends. This has allowed them to grow together like a family. The cheer team is excited to be taking all of their routines, as they have not done this in the past. They are hopeful to win a state title!
The dance team really cracked down by winning first in all five of their routines, making them district champs. Another big accomplishment this team has also made is having all 20 girls be in at least one routine. The team dances as one body which makes for a great performance.
Coach Caroline said, “Our team has several strong attributes this year. I think one is that they focus on goals and results. We have good upperclassman leadership. This team offers each other support both in dance and outside. I love this about them.”
Both teams are competing at state on the 15 and 16 of March in Boise. Wish them luck as they take the road to state.
