Recap of The Year 2020

The year 2020 has been a pretty crazy year from possible UFO sightings to wildfires to being close to World War III. Australian Fires left devastating measures killing thousands of animals, people and even leaving many without a place to call home. This tragedy event struck from the beginning of December 2019 all the way through following up the year of 2020. According to “Heatwave, high winds threaten to reignite Australian bushfires”, 11.7 million hectares (117,000 sq km) across Australia’s nation were burned killing about 1 billion animals and about 33 people, and it destroyed about 2,5000 homes. Thankfully many people have gathered and donated money, created fundraisings, and volunteers from all over the world have offered to come in and help and support those in need.

According to CNN, the Pentagon recently released footage of what appears to be an unidentified flying object moving at a very rapid pace. These videos were originally from 2004 but were released just recently. According to CNN news, retired pilot David Fravor  who saw one of the unidentified objects in 2004 said, “As I got close to it … it rapidly accelerated to the south, and disappeared in less than two seconds,”This was extremely abrupt, like a ping pong ball, bouncing off a wall. It would hit and go the other way.” Luis Elizondo said, “ I personally believe there is compelling evidence that we may not be alone.” He said that what they call these unidentified objects are aircraft and what is different about them is that the United States nor any other country seem to have the components that this craft carries. Shortly after the death of Iranian major general Qasem Solemani the United States was close to getting into World War III. The U.S. airstrike that occurred in Baghdad Iraq ended up in the killing of Iran’s elite Quds Force. After this incident occurred The United States immediately urged U.S. citizens to leave Iraq as soon as possible. Things have always been tense between the U.S. and Iraq but this tragic event created more tension between the two countries.

As if this year has not been tragic enough, famous athlete Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant were in a horrific helicopter accident that ultimately resulted in their deaths. Words can not even explain the amount of pain this tragic event has caused to their loved ones. Vanessa Bryant, mother of Gianna and wife of Kobe said, “I’ve been reluctant to put my feelings into words. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can’t process both at the same time. It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me.”

On a more important note, beauty influencer Tati Westbrook reportedly got into a huge scandal with another beauty influencer James Charles for not caring enough about her new vitamin Halo beauty and for accepting a VIP Coachella pass from a rivaling company. After posting a video literally exposing James Charles Tati Westbrook then proceeded to create another video a year later claiming other beauty influencers told her wrong. In the end, she apologized to James Charles and everyone continues to live their life.

Journalism is basically like being a news reporter, where you go in and interview teenagers, children, and even adults to get the information that is needed to tell a story from the perspective of other people. The main thing is to capture the reader’s attention by giving them quick facts and information without boring them with all the unnecessary details.
