The cost of rent has been increasing, as it always has been, but it’s increasing faster than normal. This increase is cost could be from multiple factors; the pandemic leaving people homeless/desperate, capitalism/inflation, or overpopulation.
A British news source “positivemoney.org” gave a reason as to why their housing prices are increasing. British banks put money that they earned from mortgage loans, into property. This could also be happening here in the U.S.
The increasing prices in Boise could be because of utilities already installed of the apartment. That doesn’t completely excuse why Boise’s increase in prices. People from the West Coast are moving to Idaho more, people renting out homes are trying to capitalize on it.
