3 Abandoned Kids in Texas

3 Abandoned Kids in Texas

If you were a parent, would you abandon your kids for any reason? Well, two parents in Texas are being interviewed because they left  four kids in an apartment, one of them being a  nine-year-old that has been identified as deceased. It has been discovered that he has been dead for approximately a year or so. The neighbors in the apartment next door had complained about the smell when they turned on the air conditioner. To ensure the safety of the children, the Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking emergency custody of the three boys. Child Protective Services does have history with the family, but there was no active CPS investigation at the time the children were discovered alone in their apartment.

So the big question is did the parents have a good enough excuse to leave? Would you ever leave your kids for any reason with no explanation? How did the nine-year-old die? It is yet to be known how they were living there for several months with not being able to pay rent, getting food , and to and from school? To add to that ABC news said that this family has a history with CPS and the family should be checked up on monthly, so why were the kids not checked up on? The mother and the mothers boyfriend were arrested on October 26, 2021. The boyfreind was charged with murder and the mother was charged with fellony ingury.

Although we have so many questions, why did the parents leave the kids? Is there a good enough excuse for them to leave? We interviewed Mr. Robinson and asked him if he would ever abandon his family for any reason even if there was some kind of threat involved. He said “ I would never abandon my family or my kids, I couldn’t foresee myself doing that. Regardless of the situation, I feel like my family is the most important thing to me. And doing whatever to protect them is the most important thing in my life.”

Overall, this is a very sad case. But, could have it been better if the parents didn’t leave the kids? Or if the social workers checked up on the family? But, like a lot of things, it is out of our control and all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope that they will be okay.
